You can talk to a financial planner, lawyer, accountant, trust officer or insurance agent about a legacy gift to Beth Tzedec. These advisors can explain the many tax and planning benefits to you and can help you with ideas on how to leave a legacy gift that is meaningful to you. WHAT IS A BEQUEST?

A bequest is a gift of property or assets left to Beth Tzedec in your will. A bequest can be established as either a percentage of your estate or a fixed sum. Every bequest is a powerful expression of faith in the future of our Jewish community.

IS THERE SPECIFIC WORDING I SHOULD USE IN MY WILL?

Yes. You will need to consider the type of bequest you want to make, and state it clearly. Your financial advisor or lawyer can also help. More examples can be found here. 

“I give Beth Tzedec Congregation  [the sum of _______] or  [_______% of the residue of my estate].” 

You will also need to include Beth Tzedec's legal name, address and charitable registration number:
