The Teen Advisory Committee (TAC) is a
student-run group that represents the needs of Beth Tzedec’s youth. Earn
community service hours helping to organize, promote and run teen programming
for our shul. What happens this year is up to you! As a TAC representative, you
will have an opportunity to develop leadership and planning skills to carry
with you throughout your life journey. You will be offered valuable skills
training, mentoring, and the chance to learn by doing. TAC requires a
commitment of up to two hours per week, to help get our calendar up and
running, and to help reach out to teens you know across the city. TAC offers a
fun way for excited, motivated and passionate high school students to help Beth
Tzedec build a community for teens, by teens! To get involved in TAC, please
contact info@beth-tzedec.org.
We welcome back all of our loyal H̱esed Committee members who have graciously given their time to perform the mitzvah of Bikkur Holim. We are always looking for volunteers who are interested in visiting the sick and/or elderly at nursing homes or apartments in the city. The opportunity also exists to interact with those in need by telephone, as well. It need not be an overwhelming time commitment, and it will allow you to truly make a difference in someone’s life. For more information about ways to volunteer, please contact info@beth-tzedec.org.
Ushering is an important component of Beth
Tzedec’s ritual services. Ushers play an important welcoming role at
the shul; help members and guests find their seats; and contribute to
the decorum and organization of our services.
If you are interested in participating in this important role, please contact the office and we will connect you with our Head Ushers.
