As this year comes to a close, and another begins,

may you and the people dear to you know health, happiness, and love.

May our congregation serve as a place of inspiration and community.

May the Jewish people everywhere know security and safety,

creativity and connection – with each other and with God.

May Israel and its neighbours, our country and the world know peace.

In a Shabbat song, Noah’s dove – the Jewish people –

yearns for rest and finds it in Shabbat.

מבוקש Wanted: One phrase, clean, pleasant and warm to serve as a bench, a shelter, for someone close to me, a dove-child, my own soul, who left the ark, for a few minutes, in the early hours, and couldn't find a resting place for her feet.
