Before beginning rabbinical school at the Jewish Theological Seminary, Rabbi Lara spent two years learning at the Pardes Institute of Jewish Studies in Jerusalem, where she completed a Masters in Jewish Education. Rabbi Lara first came to Beth Tzedec in 2021 as the Tanenbaum Fellow. As part of the fellowship, Rabbi Lara spent three summers teaching tefillah and outdoor adventure at Camp Ramah in Canada. When she's not on the bimah, Rabbi Lara teaches tefillah and rabbinics at Robbins Hebrew Academy. And when she’s not in the classroom, you can find her hiking or cycling in the Canadian Rockies, near her hometown of Calgary.
