Avishai Margalit, Professor Emeritus,
Hebrew University of Jerusalem, is one of the foremost thinkers and
commentators on the contemporary human condition, the moral issues of our time
and current problems facing Western societies. He is highly regarded for his
profound observations of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and the broader
struggle between Islam and the West. He received the 2011 Israel Prize in
Philosophy for his work as “one of the most important philosophers in the state
of Israel and one of the most valued in the world today.”
