Since we are not gathering in person for High Holy Day services this year, we are moving our Hot Topics sessions to the weekdays in between Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur.

This year, we'll be discussing:

  • grief and resiliency with Leanne Matlow,
  • race and the lived experiences of Jews of Colour with Marra B. Gad, and
  • life in Israel through COVID-19 with Beth Tzedec's former shinshinim.




Rosh Hashanah Cooking Series

Start planning your Rosh Hashanah menu with recipes and cooking demos from three talented chefs from the Beth Tzedec community! Join Chef Anthony Rose, Roshan Wanasingha and Patti Rotman as they each guide you through a wonderful dish to add to your holiday celebrations. Pre-registration required for each session via Eventbrite.ca.

Higher and Higher: Exploring Prayers

Join us as we dive into the prayers of the Days of Awe, exploring their meaning, history and influence. Sessions will be led by Rabbi Fryer Bodzin, Yacov Fruchter and Rav Baruch.

High Hallahdays Workshops

for Beth Tzedec 20s and 30s
September 9 & 15 at 7:30 pm


Join BT 20s and 30s for the 'High Hallahdays", two ẖallah-based workshops—a tie-dye ẖallah cover workshop outdoors at Beth Tzedec and a Zoom session with Andrea Schaffer to learn form the expert how to make fancy apple-stuffed ẖallah. We will be making colourful hallah covers to decorate your table.
