You’ve seen him in the news and on TV as an expert commentator on the war in Israel. Now, Yaakov Katz will visit Beth Tzedec as our scholar-in-residence to share his firsthand knowledge from the Israel/Gaza war. 

Beth Tzedec's 20s and 30s are invited to join Yaakov Katz and Rabbi Steven Wernick for the final presentation and discussion as part of this scholar-in-residence Shabbat series.

Yaakov Katz is the former Editor in Chief of the Jerusalem Post, where he is currently a Senior Correspondent and Opinion Writer. He’s also a Fellow at The Jewish People Policy Institute (JPPI) for which he is considered an expert on Jewish Peoplehood, Israeli society, and its relationship to the Diaspora. 

Yaakov has appeared on CNN and BBC and has written for WSJNewsweekThe Washington Post and others. He is currently working on his third book on the IDF.
