Jan 17 2018, 7:30PM to 9:00PM in the Herman Hall.
NOTE: This event has already occurred.

How can the Jewish community best counter anti-Israel activism, including the hateful boycott-divestment-sanctions (BDS) movement? Steve McDonald provides an inside look at fascinating polling data on Canadian public opinion toward Israel, revealing the best techniques and messages to build support for Israel.

As Deputy Director, Communications and Public Affairs for CIJA, Steve McDonald serves as a spokesperson for the Jewish community in the national media, prepares written advocacy materials, and offers communications advice to Jewish Federations and campus groups. Prior to joining CIJA, he spent ten years working in politics –serving in the office of a Member of Parliament, on political campaigns, and as a consultant for a private sector firm, Crestview. Steve was twice named to the list of “Canada’s Top 100 Lobbyists” published annually by the parliamentary newspaper, the Hill Times.
