This dual focused course covering Judaic skills
and knowledge meets weekly over a two-year period. The skills development
portion focuses on Hebrew reading, davening,
prayer melodies, Torah and Haftarah chanting. The knowledge component seeks to
understand Jewish practices, history and text. While aimed at individuals who
did not have the opportunity of becoming bat/bar mitzvah, this course is open
to all. Graduates receive a certificate of completion and celebrate communally
by being called to the Torah.
