Thirty-one year old Israeli Cantor Moshe Fishel is “so excited it’s hard to sleep”, and is diligently working on preparing to lead us in prayer during this year’s High Holy Days. Joining Cantor Fishel will be a choir under the baton of fellow Israeli Meir Briskman. Together with our Congregation, they will fill our Sanctuary with music and prayer.
Cantor Fishel met with Rav Baruch last week in Israel, and today met with Meir Briskman to officially launch their preparations. This dynamic team plans on integrating familiar melodies and some well-known popular tunes from Israel and the Diaspora.
We welcome our returning and new members to experience our High Holy Day services with these two talented Israelis. The musical leadership of Cantor Moshe and Maestro Meir (M&M) represent the kind of fresh young voices and approaches that will help us move forward into our seventh decade.
