Toronto Hydro has been undertaking a major upgrade to infrastructure in the area around the synagogue. On Thursday, February 16 from approximately 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, the power to our building—and to other homes surrounding Beth Tzedec—will be suspended. 

During the shut-down, the building will be open only for daily minyan in the morning, with evening services proceeding as scheduled. All other access to the building will be only for emergency purposes only. All office systems will also be affected, including our phone and email services. In the event of an emergency, please call 416-882-2684. 

Hydro has assured us that the power will be restored no later than 5:00 pm, and all evening programs are planned to continue as scheduled. Updates regarding to the shut-down will be posted on the home-page of our website at www.beth-tzedec.org.
