Community Update on COVID-19 - Monday, March 9, 2020
Beth Tzedec
Mar 9th 2020
We have been advised by our friends at Beth Sholom that, out of care and concern for the community, Beth Sholom will be closed a thorough sanitizing due to the potential spread of COVID-19.

If you attended Beth Sholom on Thursday, March 5 or Friday, March 6 and are feeling unwell, we recommend that you stay home and reach out to Toronto Public Health, via 311. We ask that all Beth Tzedec members and guests remain vigilant about washing their hands and avoiding physical contact with other people.

While our Purim festivities will continue as planned, we will also live stream tonight's Megillah reading for those who would like to participate in the mitzvah of hearing the story of Purim from home. We will broadcast the reading of Megillat Esther live on the Beth Tzedec Facebook page at 7:15 p.m. this evening.

All other services and events will continue as scheduled.

Beth Tzedec's senior leadership is continuing to monitor events and will continue to keep you informed regarding the risks of COVID-19 to our community. As of this time, the risk of exposure to COVID-19 is low. We appreciate our community's continued efforts to minimize its spread and protect the most vulnerable members of our community.

If you have any questions or concerns about Beth Tzedec's efforts during this time, please contact Randy E. Spiegel at 416-781-3511, ext. 211.
