Community Update: Office Closure
Beth Tzedec
Mar 19th 2020

The leadership of Beth Tzedec relies on the advice and counsel of public health agencies as it makes decisions on behalf of our community. With a deep concern for the health and safety of our members and staff, we have made the decision to close the Beth Tzedec offices until further notice.

During this period, we remain accessible and are responding to voice mail and email messages as quickly as possible.

Together with members of the Board of Directors and other volunteers, we are attempting to connect with all of our members, to check in on you and to assist wherever possible.

We stand together, while physically apart, to help stop the spread of this virus and to return to normal life – hadesh yameynu kekedem.

The following is provided as a quick reference guide. Please visit the Beth Tzedec website for a full list of contact information for staff and spiritual leadership.

Emergencies

In case of emergency due to death, please contact the Jewish funeral home of your choice; they will make arrangements and coordinate with us.

To reach a Beth Tzedec spiritual leader 24 hours a day for a non-death rabbinic emergency, please call 416-781-3514, ext. 8.

Please note that our team is not available by phone or email on Shabbat or Festivals. We will contact you as soon as possible after the conclusion of these sacred days.

It is not unusual to struggle with feelings of isolation during this difficult time. If you would like to speak to a member of our Spiritual Leadership Team; or

If you would like to volunteer to offer support and comfort to members of our community over the phone; or
