For many of us, the key rituals of this holy season can't quite be replicated online, so we're bringing them to you.
Visiting the Ark
Share a private prayer in the Beth Tzedec Sanctuary by registering to visit the Aron Kodesh, the ark, during the Days of Awe (between Monday, September 21 and Saturday, September 26).
A limited number of Beth Tzedec members will be invited to sign up for a one hour time slot and families will be invited in, one at a time, to spend a few intimate moments before the ark and our collection of Torah scrolls.
Public Shofar Blowing
Join Beth Tzedec's Spiritual Leadership team at select locations around the city for a public, outdoor blowing of the shofar on Sunday, September 20, the second day of Rosh Hashanah. See friends and neighbours from a safe distance as our souls soar with the blast of the shofar. Stay tuned for times and locations.
Creating a Tashlikh Experience
If Tashlikh is not a typical part of your High Holy Day experience, now is the perfect time to create a new family ritual. In the weeks leading up to Rosh Hashanah, Beth Tzedec members will receive special HHD bags, with instructions for performing the ritual yourself, at a nearby body of water.
If you're looking for a little extra direction—or even just a friendly face to share this ritual with—a member of our Spiritual Leadership Team will be available at the Cedarvale Ravine on Sunday, September 20, Rosh Hashanah II, from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
