I am thrilled to share some exciting news with you all. After a long pause due to the challenges posed by COVID, we are grateful and delighted to announce that we are about to resume the search for a second Cantor to join our community and collaborate with our beloved Cantor Ezer.
This endeavor would not have been possible without the incredible generosity of a dedicated donor who has committed to assisting in the funding of this vital position. Their support underscores the importance of music and spiritual leadership within our Congregation, and we are profoundly grateful for their contribution.
As our Congregation continues to grow and thrive, we recognize the need to infuse our shul with even more musicality and depth. With the addition of a second Cantor, we aim to enrich our worship experiences and strengthen the spiritual bonds that unite us.
We are fortunate to have Rabbi Wernick and Rabbi Fryer Bodzin guiding our community, and it is only fitting that we have two cantors to complement their leadership. This balanced team will provide us with a diverse range of expertise and perspectives to serve our growing Congregation more effectively.
To kickstart this process, we eagerly anticipate holding Proba weekends (guest cantor weekends) beginning in March, where prospective candidates will have the opportunity to share their talents and connect with our community. We invite all members to participate in these weekends and offer their valuable insights as we embark on this journey together.
Thank you in advance for your unwavering support and enthusiasm as we take this important step forward in enhancing the musical and spiritual vibrancy of our shul. We look forward to welcoming an additional Cantor into our midst and continuing to grow and evolve as a community.
L'Shalom,Patti Rotman, President
