On behalf of the Board of Directors, I am pleased to announce that we have unanimously approved the engagement of Apex Kosher Catering Inc. as our new on-site caterer, effective October 1, 2019.

Apex is COR-certified and dedicated to serving the diverse needs of our members and community in support of all congregational events, members' celebrations and lifecycle smahot. 

Apex will operate both Beth Tzedec kitchens, with the main floor kitchen dedicated to chicken/beef/fish options at various price points,meeting the catering needs of synagogue members. We are also excited to announce that plans will be underway to convert our mezzanine-floor kitchen to the first COR-certified dairy kitchen in a Toronto synagogue. This second kitchen will allow Apex to provide members with new and exciting dairy options for events both inside and outside of our building.

There will be an Apex office on-site at Beth Tzedec and in the coming months we will be announcing an Open House to give members the opportunity to meet the creative team and taste their new offerings. 

For members who have an event scheduled at Beth Tzedec after October 1, the Apex team will be in touch with you shortly to discuss and address your catering needs.

We thank everyone who provided input, insight and feedback which assisted us in reaching our decision. In addition, a special thank you goes out to the Catering Committee, chaired by Patti Rotman, for your hard work and dedication as you deliberated and carefully considered how best to meet the changing needs of our congregation. 

Finally, we extend our thanks to f+b Kosher for their years of service to our community. We wish them well in all their future endeavours.
