Jewish Hosts Needed—Building Friendship with Canada’s Indigenous Community

The Canadian Antisemitism Education Foundation, in collaboration with the Indigenous Embassy Jerusalem and partner organizations, is hosting an invitational symposium on June 8 in Toronto, bringing Indigenous and Jewish Canadians together.

We are seeking Jewish hosts for Indigenous participants traveling from across Canada. Ideally, hosts live near or have easy transit access to Beth Torah Congregation (47 Glenbrook Ave.), the symposium site.

Guests may arrive as early as June 5 and depart as late as June 9. Hosts are asked to provide accommodation and breakfast. An itinerary is being planned, including participation in the Walk for Israel on June 7.

Participants will share their schedules in advance. Hosts may also choose to invite guests for Shabbat dinner, or join others in hosting to ensure all guests have a Shabbat option.

In 2024 and 2025, representatives of the Indigenous Embassy Jerusalem proudly led the Walk for Israel and stood in solidarity with the Jewish community. This is an opportunity to deepen those connections and build lasting friendships.
