Shabbat Shirah is for the Birds (and Families, Too)
January 31 @ 9:45 am
A Shabbabah and Bim Bam Bunch Parashah-Fest!
From the people who brought you Noah Fest, comes our next family celebration of the Torah portion of the week. This time we turn our attention to Parashat Beshallach, in which birds—specifically quail—appear en masse to provide food for the Israelites in the desert. It’s not the only time our feathered friends have proven themselves friends indeed to the Jewish people.
To celebrate, we’ll be having Shabbat-compliant crafts and activities. In addition to our regular Shabbabah and Bim Bam Bunch Shabbat fare, we’ll host the Canadian Raptor Conservancy—that’s the winged raptors, not the human hoopster ones—to introduce to some fascinating flyers—birds, not the hockey team.
There is no charge, but pre-registration is requested. To register, click HERE.
Please note: Children 4 and under should be accompanied by a grown up.
